Concert and Kitten
September 16, 2007
Hello everybody,
This post was intended to be made on Friday but I was not near a computer after work so here it goes anyways:
Last night (Thursday night) Jenn and myself went to the Yellowcard concert at the Pheonix. It was my first REAL indoor concert and I thought it was pretty good even though it was in a small venue.
Waiting in line to get into the Pheonix we were behind a rather muscular lady who was dressed in a super short red dress. She was eating a peach and after she was done she asked Jenn and I if there was anything in here teeth, if her lipstick was fine and I think if there was anything on her face. Now this would seem pretty normal but no only was she using a cane, holding a bag with a wrapped present inside, and dressed to impress at a Yellowcard concert but I did not and still do not think she was a she. She was totally a dude and we referred to her as "Lady in red".
The opening bands were Rise Again (ya I thought it was Rise Against too - who were from Australia but I thought I heard them say Oshawa... haha my bad) and some other emo band who kinda sucked but were pretty funny. Yellowcard was good, wayyyyyy better than what you hear on cd. Pete (bass) noticed Jenn in the audience and for almost every song they played, either winked at her or crotched rocked right in front of her/everyone else in the front left corner of the stage. It was funny stuff. Oh and I guess I should mention we were in the very front, right at the fence. It was loud and I loved it. Wooooo good times!
At the end of the concert the Yellowcard band mates were tossing out all of their stuff to the crowd. Sean (violin/vocals) threw out one of Ryan's (vocals/guitar), and guess who retrieved it?! Not me, but Jenn did! Wooo. It was a really neat memento for me since it's one of my favorite bands and my first indoor concert. I will be framing it and putting it into my rec room soon :)
That was what happened on Thursday, last month during a weeks holiday that I took just to take it easy and do nothing me and my sister got a kitten:

Henry
He is now 8 weeks old I think and just received his first shots.
Night everyone!
Mike
