Winter came and then went
January 12, 2007
On Wednesday most of Ontario was blessed with seasonal temperatures of -4 or something like that, accompanied with rain which turned into snow due to the cold. Bradford received about 5 cm of snow which is really not much but seeing as how this winter has been insanely warm, that much snow is more than welcome. That snow is all gone now due to the temperature turning to 6 degrees and rain which really blows. The weather dude is saying that we are supposed to have a snow storm on Monday which is awesome.
Seeing as I am talking about weather in this entry, I was at my grandparents house this evening and they had the 2007 Farmers Almanac. In the almanac there are articles on what the weather, crops, and basically everything will be like for 2007. One of the articles was explaining how global warming is a good thing, which made me laugh because the points they were saying were completely materialistic and really one dimensional. For example did you know that global warming is melting snow and providing more water for everyone, which for the almanac is a great thing because more water means more rain, and more rain means that their crops will be watered all the time and they wont have to water them as much using giant sprinklers - but what about the polar bears?! These almanac dudes obviously did not think about the more detailed reasons to why global warming is bad - if ya want to know why just watch An Inconvenient Truth, it goes into more detail.
If we manage to get a snow storm I will post some pictures for all of you to see. Have a good weekend everyone.
Mike
