Major screw-up by moi

So I got home tonight and thought I would check how my site is doing. I logged onto my site and did the normal looking around when I noticed that my site did not validate to the W3C XHTML Transitional standards, which is a major thing and I can not believe I screwed up on some of these tiny little things that were causing errors.
I started going through page by page making sure everything is working properly without backing up before hand. So I was deleting old bloated code, fixing things that did not work the way I wanted them to, and just fixing everything up in general. When I got to my brand new photos page which took me a few days to think through and make (which I even now realized was done stupidly), I accidentally wrote over the live server version with a 3-4 month old version. Did I mention before that I had no backup? So I started scrambling looking for all of the stuff where I could have possibly saved a copy. In the end I was using a PHP include to bring all of the things needed from an external page so I did not have to do any more work than what was needed - I was super happy.
I can not wait till the OS X Leopard comes out because that Time Machine app will be a life saver! For those of you who do not know what it is, it is a little thing running in the background that say you deleted or changed a file and you want it back or want it back to the way it was when you first created the file or when ever, you can now do that. So you theoretically will never loose or screw up a file again.

So why would I hire you Mike? How unproffesional is that! Back it up - or they back you up. One time at my work I lost a file...the following evening I woke up tied to what looked like a wood chopping block (which I later learned was for butchering moose). Then the company 'Backed me up'. Hard. I am not bitter; I just wish it wasn't the first thing that poped into my mind whenever my girlfriend touches me.
