Drinks and good times
November 10, 2006
So after getting home after work today both my good good friend Hayley and I were in need of some refreshing beverages which most certainly would contain alcohol. So we weighed all of our options and decided to go to Newmarket to check out Sneakers... Oddly, once we pulled into the parking lot we lost all reason to even go into the sports bar so we changed our mind and decided to go somewhere a little bit bigger - Shoe less Joe's which is in Aurora beside St.Andrews College. For some weird reason the two of us we both extremely cynical this night - mostly Hayley but I was in a bitter mighty bitter mood as well. Now I am not going to mention what we did or said because some of it is not quiet blog material, but it was fun times never the less.
Shoe less Joes was pretty empty, and they did not have any Kieth's so I had to settle with Rickards Red - which I do not mind, its just not my drink of choice. I should have had a Guinness or something different - oh well.
After Hayley finished her wings and I finished my drink we headed off towards Bradford in search of more to drink and or do. We took Bathurst St home which might I add is insanely scary and fun at night, the hills make it seem like your going to fall into a hole after reaching the apex of the hill. And if you go fast enough you could get a little air borne. Once we arrived in Bradford though, we were all tuckered out and not feeling as bubbly as we were at the beginning of the night, so we did a drive by at the VI to see what was happening, and from what I could see it was dead. So we decided not to go in and call it an early night.
After Hayley dropped me off at my place, I was in need of a shower and then maybe do some work and or watch a flick. I took my shower and noticed a message on my cell phone. It was Hayley calling me to tell me to get my ass to the VI because it was not empty, in fact it was a decent night. So I got dressed as fast as I could and headed over to get more booze in me.
People were lined up a little bit outside the pub/club/watering hole and there was a live band inside playing from what I could tell outside, decent music. Once inside the bouncers checked my pockets and id - which I find really weird because I do not look underage and yet I am always carded. Anyhow, I tracked Hayley and the sis down, had a Keith's, mingled with some people I have not seen in a while and then realized that it was a pretty crappy night there because everyone was extremely young, the live band was gone and the DJ was playing music from 3-4 years ago. So we all headed home with plans to go to Husky for breakfast in the morning.
Night everyone.
Mike
