Golf and then food

October 7, 2006

Today was a very long yet fun day for myself,

The day started off at 7 am with myself waking up to get ready for an early T-off time at a golf course called Innisbrook Golf Course. So I washed up and put on multiple layers of clothing due to the freezing temperature (2 degrees celcius in the morning) and waited for my uncle to arrive who would be playing the round of golf with me.

We arrived at the course, there was a frost-delay so we would not be starting our round till 9:30 am, so we had plenty of time to mess around on the putting green and have a little breakfast as well.

At around 9:45 am we started our round and I was playing VERY badly, my drives, chips and putts were atrocious and this par 64 course was not being nice to me. I think it was the fact that I didn't go to the driving range in the morning or do anything to warm myself up. Either way, I played like crap and did not manage to do anything right till the back 9 holes where I knocked back a few beers to loosen myself up a bit.

The golf course was really nice, except for the putting greens that were just irrigated just a few weeks before so they had holes everywhere, which made my putting even worse. It was a fun day and I am definitely going back there to play again to play.

The second part of my day consisted of me going to Hayley's house for dinner with her family and friends in celebration of her sisters birthday. The food and drink were great but I accidentally knocked over a vase full of water and candles when upon my arrival which sucked. Fun fun! After eating and chatting up a storm, everyone left and Hayley and I headed over to my place. Hayley wanted to race over to my house, I agreed and we both went our separate ways with our vehicles. Hayley decided to take the more northern route while I decided to go through the centre of town. I inevitably won the race and waited for Hayley to get to my place where we sat and watched Toronto lose to Montreal.

Damn Habs!
